Workday is Penn State's Human Resources and Payroll system that includes Benefits, Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence Management, Staffing, Recruiting, and Talent Management functionality.
Workday is a next generation of cloud-based applications that service human resources and payroll needs for organizations. Many Universities are adopting Workday because of the flexibility the system provides, their focus on providing functionality specific to higher education, and the collaborative nature of the functionality design process.
Workday’s user-friendly interface empowers employees to view and manage their personal data and items such as direct deposit accounts, benefits elections, and tax withholdings through a web browser on your computer or mobile device. Some employees also submit time worked and time off through Workday.
Since launch in December 2017, Workday has changed the way Penn State conducts business by automating, streamlining, and standardizing current business processes in Human Resources and Payroll. Workday Recruiting launched in March 2020 to support the University's recruiting goals. Please use this website as a resource as we continue to add functionality to Workday.
